The PPNA is pleased to introduce the Patterson Park Clean City Guide. This guide gives you, the community activist, a “how to” guide for trash removal, recycling, and rat prevention. Neighbors often do not know how to navigate the City’s 311 system for trash and rats and how to find resources to organize neighbors for a cleaner, greener block. This guide outlines how use the 311 system, get rid of rats, locate citizen drop off centers, recycle, what fines and violations exist, responsibilities for landlords and businesses, and find resources. Download a copy (English and Spanish), or contact the PPNA for availability of printed copies to share.

The Patterson Park Clean City Guide was led by the Patterson Park Neighborhood Greening Partnership Chaired by Terresa Carter, the PPNA West Sector Vice President held by Sadie Drescher, the Greening Coordinator held by Kim Wiggins, Banner Neighborhoods, Anthony Newman, and Molly Lasater from JHBSPH. Funding was provided by a grant from the Baltimore Community Foundation and the Chesapeake Bay Trust. Bridget Parlato with Full Circuit Studio/Baltimore Trash Talk provided content guidance and graphic design and Catalina Rodriguez-Lima with the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant and Multicultural Affairs provided the Spanish translation.
